Service Description
This service description forms part of the General Terms and Conditions (GTC) and specifies the scope of services provided by the cloud-based software eCommerce One. The software is provided as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and is intended for the centralized management, processing, automation, and analysis of business processes for freelancers, small and medium-sized businesses, and online merchants.
1. Subject of the Service Description
This service description outlines the main functions and features of the eCommerce One software. The application supports businesses in managing quotations, orders, purchases, invoices, shipping processes, customer and supplier data, as well as other commercial and organizational business processes within a centralized platform.
2. Nature of Service Provision
eCommerce One is provided exclusively as a cloud-based software solution under the Software-as-a-Service model. The software is not licensed for local installation on customer systems, and the source code is not provided. Access is granted through a web-based user interface via an internet connection.
3. System Provision and Operation
The provider operates the software within a centralized technical infrastructure and makes it available for use during the contract term. The services include, in particular, operation of the application, technical maintenance, implementation of security measures, and the provision of updates and technical enhancements.
4. Management of Business Processes and Documents
The software enables the centralized creation, management, and processing of business transactions. This includes quotations, sales orders, online orders, direct sales, service orders, production orders, and other business-related processes. Transactions may be created manually or imported through connected sales channels and third-party systems and managed within a unified user interface.
5. Creation and Management of Documents
The application supports the creation, management, and output of business-related documents. This includes quotations, order confirmations, invoices, credit notes, delivery notes, production documents, and other commercial or organizational documents. Documents can be generated, managed, archived, and exported for downstream business processes.
6. Shipping and Fulfillment Support
The software provides functions to support shipping and fulfillment processes. This may include the creation of shipping labels, management of shipping providers, shipping methods, shipping rules, packaging requirements, and the assignment of shipment and tracking information to business transactions.
7. Customer, Supplier, Product, and Master Data Management
The application enables the storage, management, and processing of customer, supplier, product, and other master data. Such data may be imported from connected systems or maintained directly within the software and used for further business processes.
8. Financial Overviews and Business Analytics
The software may provide functions for analyzing business performance indicators. This includes revenue, cost, profit, and margin analyses, overviews of open transactions, payment information, and other financial reports and business metrics.
9. Business Process Automation
The software may provide functions for automating recurring business workflows. This includes automated transaction processing, document generation, notifications, rule-based process control, and other system-supported business operations.
10. Integrations and Interfaces
The software may be connected to external systems and services through application programming interfaces (APIs). These may include sales channels, shop systems, marketplaces, shipping providers, payment providers, accounting systems, email services, cloud storage providers, and other third-party systems. The availability and functionality of such integrations depend on the technical and legal framework conditions of the respective third-party providers.
11. Data Storage
The provider supplies storage space for data created, imported, or processed by the customer as part of the software usage. This includes transaction data, customer, supplier, and product data, settings, generated documents, and other system-related information required for the use of the software.
12. Availability, Maintenance, and Further Development
The software is provided within the technical, operational, and economic possibilities of an internet-based SaaS service. Temporary restrictions or interruptions may occur due to maintenance work, security updates, technical adjustments, infrastructure issues, or disruptions affecting third-party systems. The provider reserves the right to further develop, modify, or adapt the software and its functionality, provided that the overall contractual purpose of the software remains intact.
13. Services Not Included
The services provided do not include, in particular, custom software modifications, customer-specific development work, legal, tax, or business consulting, permanent availability of specific third-party integrations, data migration from external systems unless expressly agreed otherwise, or operation of the software outside the SaaS environment provided by the provider.
