Service Description


This service description is part of the Terms and Conditions (T&C) and specifies the functional scope of the cloud-based software eCommerce One. The software is provided as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and is intended in particular for the centralized management, processing and automation of business processes in eCommerce.

1. Subject of the Service Description

This service description describes the essential functions and performance features of the eCommerce One software. The application supports companies engaged in online commerce in particular by consolidating orders from various sales channels and enabling their commercial and logistical processing.

2. Type of Service Provision

eCommerce One is provided exclusively as a cloud-based software solution under the Software-as-a-Service model. The software is not provided for local installation on the customer’s systems and the source code is not disclosed. Access is provided through a web-based user interface via an internet connection.

3. System Provision and Operation

The provider operates the software within a centralized technical infrastructure and makes it available for use during the term of the contract. The service includes in particular the operation of the application, technical maintenance, implementation of security measures, as well as the provision of updates and technical improvements.

4. Import and Management of Orders

The software enables centralized processing of orders from connected online shops, marketplaces and other sales channels. Orders may be retrieved automatically or manually, consolidated, displayed and managed within a unified user interface.

5. Creation and Management of Documents

The application supports the creation, management and issuance of commercial documents in connection with orders. These include in particular invoices, delivery notes and other business-related documents. Documents can be generated within the software, managed and exported for subsequent processes.

6. Shipping and Fulfillment Support

The software provides functions to support shipping and fulfillment processes. These may include the creation of shipping labels, the management of shipping methods, shipping rules and packaging specifications, as well as the assignment of shipping and tracking information to orders.

7. Customer, Product and Master Data Management

The application enables the storage, management and processing of customer, product and other master data. These data can be imported from connected systems or maintained within the software and used for further business processes.

8. Automation of Business Processes

The software may provide functions for automating recurring workflows. These include in particular automated order processing, rule-based process control, document creation and other system-supported procedures within the eCommerce business.

9. Integrations and Interfaces

The software may connect to external systems and services via programming interfaces. These include in particular online marketplaces, shop systems, shipping service providers, cloud and storage services as well as other third-party systems. The availability and functionality of such integrations depend on the technical and legal conditions of the respective third-party providers.

10. Data Storage

The provider provides storage space as part of the system usage for the data generated, imported or processed by the customer. This includes in particular order data, customer and product data, settings, generated documents and other system-relevant information required for the use of the software.

11. Availability, Maintenance and Further Development

The software is provided within the technical, operational and economic possibilities of an internet-based SaaS service. Temporary limitations or interruptions may occur in particular due to maintenance work, security updates, technical adjustments, infrastructure disruptions or impairments of third-party systems. The provider is entitled to further develop and technically adapt the software or modify individual functions provided that the contractual purpose of the software remains intact.

12. Services Not Included

The services owed do not include, in particular, individual software customizations, customer-specific development work, legal or tax advice, permanent availability of certain third-party integrations, migration of data from third-party systems unless explicitly agreed, or operation of the software outside the SaaS environment provided by the provider.
